Season of Light

It is a season of light. The darkest day of winter has passed, and now the days are gradually becoming lighter. As we enter into this season of light, I invite you to consider what about yourself or your life you would like to bring into the light in order to see it more clearly.

When we see our lives and ourselves more clearly, we have the freedom to change. Perhaps it is your beautiful vulnerability that you have kept hidden from the world, a shard of darkness that you carry, a self-destructive habit that you would like to change, a conflict that remains unresolved, or an old hurt that has not healed. As you bring something forth into the light, try observing it from the perspective of a witness. Notice its shape, color, size, and any other prominent qualities. Try noticing it with interest and compassion.

In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer. –Albert Camus

Wishing you all a warm and peaceful holiday season of light.
